BC Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Cardiology Technologist/Trainer to join our team. As a key member of our cardiology department, you will be responsible for performing electrocardiograms (ECGs) and related cardiology diagnostic testing procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform ECGs and related cardiology diagnostic testing procedures in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Assist cardiologists with pacemaker programming and monitoring, transesophageal pacing, and atrial leads.
- Provide training for other clinical staff to use cardiology equipment for ECG tracings.
- Explain and perform ECGs, cardiopulmonary exercise tests, and other diagnostic procedures on patients.
- Scan and analyze ECG, stress, and/or Holter reports, and inform cardiologists of any abnormalities.
- Graduation from a recognized program in Cardiology Technology.
- Three (3) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current registration with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists.
- Eligible for membership with the Cardiology Technologist Association of British Columbia (CTABC).
- Current qualifications in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
