About the Role

The Imaging Informatics Coordinator will play a key role in the management of Medical Imaging Informatics Systems within the Medical Imaging departments. This includes working with vendors to ensure service levels meet corporate standards, testing and evaluating software to recommend products that meet current and future needs, and providing user support and consultation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop specifications, test dictionaries, and report formats for Medical Imaging/Nuclear Medicine/Diagnostic Cardiology sections.
  • Prepare implementation plans for Imaging Information Systems and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems.
  • Coordinate program testing, installation of interfaces and equipment, and liaison between vendors and department staff.
  • Instruct users in routine operations, maintenance, and problem correction.
  • Facilitate changes and enhancements to computer systems as required by department practice.
Requirements
  • Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) or equivalent.
  • Five years' recent, related Medical Imaging experience, inclusive of two years' recent, related Medical Imaging clinical information systems experience.
  • Knowledge of MI standards of practice and guidelines, organizational MI clinical and administrative workflows, and cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of modality-specific workflow, radiologist reporting methodologies, and image distribution requirements.
