We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Slave Lake Inn and Conference Centre. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure that inventory is properly managed.
  • Hire and manage food service staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards and address customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports as required.
Requirements:
  • Safe Food Handling certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
