Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Equipment Technician to join our team at Novlan Bros Sales Partnership. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on agricultural equipment.

About the Role

This is a permanent position with a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in the field and hold relevant certifications such as the Agricultural Equipment Technician Red Seal Certificate.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on agricultural equipment
  • Instruct apprentices and provide training on equipment operation and maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Order parts and maintain inventory
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
  • Attach components and adjust new farm equipment
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Verify and repair emission control systems
  • Assist process and machine operators in mineral ore and metal processing
  • Perform other routine maintenance
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in agricultural equipment maintenance and repair
  • Agricultural Equipment Technician Red Seal Certificate
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Driver's License (Class 3 or D)
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
