About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Demonware. As a key member of our data management strategy, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex data pipelines and ensuring compliance with data governance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and guide junior data engineers to promote a culture of excellence and growth.
- Collaborate with customers to facilitate compliant access to sensitive data.
- Lead the management and optimization of data pipelines for compliance processing within our data ecosystem.
- Work with our SRE team to develop and maintain a robust and compliant data infrastructure with minimal friction.
- Design and implement APIs for integration with our internal systems and third-party services.
- Maintain data quality and pursue continuous improvement and innovation in data governance practices.
Requirements:
- 7 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Production experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure.
- Experience with version control tools and a validated understanding of containerization, build, and deployment processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Comfortable with one or more computer programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Scala, Python, etc.
- Expertise in both streaming and batch-based streaming technologies including Flink, Kafka, Spark.
- Familiarity with privacy legislation and its implications on data collection, reporting, and compliance.
