Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Demonware. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and systems. You will work closely with our data science team to ensure that our data infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and secure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop large-scale data pipelines and systems
  • Collaborate with data science team to ensure data infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and secure
  • Mentor and guide junior data engineers
  • Engage with customers to facilitate compliant access to sensitive data
  • Lead all aspects of the management and optimization of data pipelines for compliance processing within our data ecosystem
  • Collaborate with our SRE team to develop and maintain a robust and compliant data infrastructure with minimal friction
  • Build APIs for integration with our internal systems and third-parties
  • Maintain data quality and pursue continuous improvement and innovation in data governance practices

Requirements:

  • 7 years of experience in data engineering or a related field
  • Experience in production with cloud computing platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure
  • Production experience with version control tools and a validated understanding of containerization, build, and deployment processes
  • Comfortable with one or more computer programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Scala, Python, etc.
  • Expertise in both streaming and batch-based streaming technologies including Flink, Kafka, Spark
  • Familiar with privacy legislation with an understanding of its implications on data collection, reporting, and compliance
