About the Role

Talisman Theatre is seeking a highly skilled Treasurer to join our Board of Directors. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the financial future of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the company's budget and cash flow forecasts to ensure financial stability and growth.
  • Provide expert guidance on nonprofit accounting and finances, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Design and implement effective fundraising strategies to support the company's mission and goals.
  • Collaborate with the Artistic and Executive Director to provide financial insights and recommendations.
  • Participate in Board meetings and Committee work to drive decision-making and strategic planning.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and nonprofit accounting.
  • Strong expertise in designing and implementing fundraising strategies.
  • Passion for working in the cultural sector and commitment to the mission of Talisman Theatre.
  • Proficiency in English and French, written and spoken.
  • Prior experience as a Board member or in a similar leadership role.
