Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead our manufacturing operations team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of improving efficiency and performance in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the operations team to achieve business objectives and improve efficiency
- Develop and implement process improvements to reduce costs and increase productivity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and innovation
- Manage and maintain a safe and healthy work environment
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to inform business decisions
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing operations role
- Proven track record of improving efficiency and performance in a manufacturing environment
- Experience leading a team in a manufacturing/durable goods environment
- Previous experience in furniture and upholstery manufacturing is a requirement
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles
- Lean certified is an asset
- Strong background in Workplace Safety Leadership
- Ability to travel to US and Europe on occasion for product and process training
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
