Job Summary

Walser Contracting Ltd is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination and transporting goods over long distances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Safely operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods over long distances.
  • Logistics: Plan and coordinate routes to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on the tractor-trailer combination to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of transportation, including logs, manifests, and other required documents.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Attention to detail, physically demanding, and willing to travel for extended periods.
  • Physical Demands: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling, sitting, and physically demanding work.
  • Tools and Equipment: Cellular phone, hard hat, and steel-toed safety boots.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
Work Environment
  • Workplace: On the road, with occasional overnight stays.
  • Hours of Work: 40 to 70 hours per week.
  • Language of Work: English.
