Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ready-Mix Truck Driver to join our team at Wild Rose Ready Mix Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a ready-mix truck to deliver concrete and asphalt to various construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Ready-Mix Truck: Safely operate a ready-mix truck to deliver concrete and asphalt to construction sites, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Pre- and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, and report any issues to the maintenance team.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload concrete and asphalt from the truck, ensuring accurate quantities and quality.
  • Oversee Vehicle Condition: Regularly inspect the vehicle's tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure the vehicle is always in good working condition.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely and efficient communication.
  • Mix, Pour, and Spread Materials: Mix, pour, and spread concrete and asphalt as required, ensuring accurate quantities and quality.
  • Ensure Safety and Productivity: Ensure products and work methods maximize safety, productivity, and comfort for yourself and others.
Requirements
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid Class 1 or A driver's license.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience as a ready-mix truck driver.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring attention to detail, handling heavy loads, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Weight Handling: Able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and handle heavy equipment.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, organized, reliable, and a team player.
