Job Summary

Walser Contracting Ltd is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods over long distances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Logistics: Plan and coordinate routes, schedules, and delivery times to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of shipments, including inspection reports, maintenance and repair reports, and trip reports.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transportation operations.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience as a truck driver is preferred.
  • Physical Demands: This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Weight Handling: The ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) is required.
  • Tools and Equipment: A cellular phone, hard hat, and steel-toed safety boots are required for this position.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: This position involves working on the road, often for extended periods, and may require overnight travel.
  • Work Schedule: The work schedule is 40 to 70 hours per week, with varying shifts and schedules.
