Job Summary

Walser Contracting Ltd is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Management
    • Plan and execute routes to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
    • Monitor and maintain accurate records of transportation activities.
  • Vehicle Maintenance
    • Perform regular vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
    • Conduct routine maintenance tasks to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Documentation and Compliance
    • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of transportation activities, including inspection reports and maintenance records.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws related to transportation.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transportation operations.
    • Collaborate with other team members to resolve any issues or concerns related to transportation.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Valid driver's license.
    • Ability to travel for extended periods and overnight.
    • Attention to detail and ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
    • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Tools and Equipment
    • Cellular phone.
    • Hard hat.
    • Steel-toed safety boots.
Working Conditions

The selected candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
