Metropolitan Transport Ltd. is seeking a skilled Heavy Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, using proper lifting techniques to avoid injury.
  • Communicate with dispatch and other drivers to coordinate routes and schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the vehicle, including checking tire pressure, oil levels, and brakes.
  • Collaborate with other drivers to ensure smooth and efficient transportation of goods.
Requirements
  • AZ class license and Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with dispatch, other drivers, and customers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills to use GPS and other navigation equipment.
