Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining a high level of store visual presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Generation:
    • Meet personal and store sales goals by providing exceptional customer service and driving sales through effective sales techniques and product knowledge.
    • Assist in the tracking, monitoring, and communication of business results to ensure sales growth and profitability.
    • Ensure an elevated level of sales and service is practiced by all associates; lead by example and provide coaching and feedback as needed.
    • Continuously develop personal sales techniques and assist in the development of associates' sales techniques to maximize sales.
    • Ensure all sales-related policies and procedures are maintained and adhered to.
    • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the merchandise and develop product knowledge among selling staff.
    • Maintain a keen interest in the fashion industry and market trends to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Customer Service:
    • Ensure all associates provide the highest level of customer service by delivering exceptional service and resolving customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.
    • Build and maintain repeat clientele by utilizing personal client books and assisting staff with utilizing their client books.
    • Resolve all client problems and complaints quickly and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Assist sales associates with various customer service issues, such as dissatisfied customers, returns, and defective merchandise.
  • Operations:
    • Collaborate with the store manager in areas of risk management, physical security, store cash controls, and inventory management to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
    • Support and assist in staff training in all areas of appropriate register usage and maintenance.
    • Understand and properly execute all management register functions, including cash handling and reconciliation.
    • Participate in inventories and ensure accurate counting and reporting of inventory levels.
    • Understand and execute cash control procedures, including bank deposits, safe funds, and petty cash.
  • Merchandising/Visual:
    • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of all merchandising/visual directives to ensure a visually appealing store environment.
    • Ensure the selling floor is neat, clean, organized, and reflects the correct visual image at all times.
    • Ensure deliveries are properly processed in a timely manner to maintain a smooth and efficient store operation.
    • Identify and communicate product concerns in a timely manner to ensure quality and consistency.
    • Communicate inventory needs to support the business goal and ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Human Resources:
    • Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of staff to ensure a high-performing team.
    • Assist in ensuring the integrity of payroll and the payroll process.
    • Continually evaluate the performance of each associate and provide constant feedback to ensure results.
    • Resolve all human resources issues in a timely and effective manner, partnering with HR when necessary.
    • Support and provide follow-up for all training programs, seminars, and other development opportunities.
    • Ensure image and grooming standards are professional, reflective of the brand image, and adhered to at all times.
