Cybercrime Investigator, Digital Forensic Specialist

About the RoleWe're seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Cybercrime Investigator. In this role, you'll be responsible for investigating and managing known or suspected cyber-enabled crimes against the Scotiabank Group and its affiliates. You'll work closely with our Cyber Incidents Response Team (CIRT) and other corporate security personnel to gather intelligence and execute remedial actions.
You'll conduct digital forensic investigations on electronic devices, networks, and cloud-based services to collect, preserve, analyze, and interpret digital evidence. Your findings will inform our response to cyber incidents and help us develop effective strategies to mitigate future threats.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and manage known or suspected cyber-enabled crimes against the Scotiabank Group and its affiliates.
- Work with our CIRT and other corporate security personnel to gather intelligence and execute remedial actions.
- Conduct digital forensic investigations on electronic devices, networks, and cloud-based services to collect, preserve, analyze, and interpret digital evidence.
- Develop and maintain reliable information sources and liaise with law enforcement, regulators, industry partners, and other corporate security personnel.
- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A post-secondary university degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Information Technology.
- A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in Digital Forensic, Cyber Security, or Information Technology.
- Working knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, the Canada Evidence Act, and provincial interpretations relating to computer crime.
As a Cybercrime Investigator, you can expect a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
