Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Advocate to join our team at Teladoc Health.

Role Overview: As a Mental Health Advocate, you will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for delivering clinical support and case management services to members with mental health challenges. You will work closely with members to implement and measure progress against action plans, ensuring high-quality service and member satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a case manager for members during their Mental Health program participation, ensuring proactive communication on case progression and next steps.
  • Obtain comprehensive health histories through intake assessments, capturing relevant data about current conditions and health history using a bio-psycho-social model.
  • Contribute to completing outcome measures and assessment questionnaires as directed by psychology and psychiatry experts.
  • Facilitate expedited procurement of member medical records.
  • Assist members in implementing treatment plans, identifying best paths to care based on expert recommendations.
  • Provide technical and case support to Teladoc clinicians.
  • Meet defined service level standards for case progression, overall quality, and member satisfaction.
  • Provide training and education to members, third-party partners, and internal stakeholders on various subjects, from administrative tasks to in-depth topics.
  • Assist in building the company's network of quality mental health community resources and partners.
  • Liaise with third-party partners to ensure seamless case management processes with measurable outcomes and metrics.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in a professional office environment, preferably in a hospital, physician practice, or other medical setting.
  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or related field, required and in good standing with governing college.
  • Bilingual fluency (written and verbal) in English and French is an asset.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
