About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Professional 2 to join our team at Interior Health Authority. As a key member of our Hospitals & Communities Integrated Services (HCIS) team, you will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality psychosocial rehabilitation services to individuals with severe and persistent mental health problems and/or substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide life skills training, advocacy, and supportive counseling to clients living in their own housing.
  • Develop and implement rehabilitation objectives and psychosocial rehabilitation plans for assigned client populations.
  • Engage clients in various community settings as meaningful collaborators in their own service planning, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Work within a psychosocial rehabilitation/harm reduction framework and informed by existing psychiatric and other health professional assessments.
About the Unit

Lansdowne Centre is one of Interior Health's Mental Health Centres, providing a range of services including adult community support, adult short-term assessment and treatment, community residential programs, geriatric programs, crisis intervention, day and outpatient programs, addictions counselling, concurrent disorders services, group therapy, peer support, and after-hours mental health support.
