About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Professional to join our team at the Interior Health Authority. As a Community Mental Health Worker 2, you will be part of a larger health care team and a multi-disciplinary specialized team providing psychosocial rehabilitation services to individuals with severe and persistent mental health problems and/or substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide life skills, advocacy, supportive counseling, and psychosocial rehabilitation planning for clients living in their own housing.
  • Establish rehabilitation objectives and/or psychosocial rehabilitation plans for assigned client populations.
  • Engage clients in various community settings as meaningful collaborators in their own service planning, delivery, and evaluation.
Working Environment

You will be working within a psychosocial rehabilitation/harm reduction framework and informed by existing psychiatric and other health professional assessments. Our team provides a variety of services, including adult community support, adult short-term assessment and treatment, community residential programs, geriatric programs, crisis intervention, day and outpatient programs, addictions counseling, concurrent disorders services, group therapy, peer support, and after-hours mental health support.
