We are seeking a skilled Community Mental Health Worker 2 to join our team at the Lansdowne Centre in Kamloops, B.C.

The Community Mental Health Worker 2 will function as part of the Hospitals & Communities Integrated Services (HCIS) healthcare team and as a member of a specific Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) multi-disciplinary specialized team. The successful candidate will provide life skills, advocacy, supportive counseling, psychosocial rehabilitation planning, and general support duties to clients living in their own housing.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic case management and establish rehabilitation objectives for assigned client populations
- Engage clients in various community settings as people with full potential and as meaningful collaborators in their own service planning, delivery, and evaluation
- Work within a psychosocial rehabilitation/harm reduction framework and informed by existing psychiatric and other health professional assessments
The Lansdowne Centre is one of Interior Health's Mental Health Centres, providing a range of services including adult community support, adult short-term assessment and treatment, community residential programs, geriatric programs, crisis intervention, day and outpatient programs, addictions counselling, concurrent disorders services, group therapy, peer support, and after-hours mental health support.
