About This Role

We are seeking a Community Mental Health Worker 2 to join our team at the Lansdowne Centre in Kamloops, B.C. This is a casual opportunity, with no guaranteed hours and work requirements can vary from 0 - 37.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic case management, establish rehabilitation objectives and/or psychosocial rehabilitation plans for the assigned client population(s)
  • Engage clients in various community settings as people with full potential and as meaningful collaborators in their own service planning, delivery and evaluation
  • Work within a psychosocial rehabilitation/harm reduction framework and informed by existing psychiatric and other health professional assessments
  • Establish and maintain rapport with clients, and provide supportive counseling, life skills, and advocacy services
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients
Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • Diploma in a field relevant to the position (Community Mental Health etc.)
  • Two years recent related experience working with the assigned client population(s) experiencing mental health and/or substance abuse problems
  • Current valid B.C. Driver's License
