Job Responsibilities:

The Community Mental Health Worker 2 functions as part of the Hospitals & Communities Integrated Services (HCIS) healthcare team and as a member of a specific Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) multi-disciplinary specialized team.

Key responsibilities include performing life skills, advocacy, supportive counseling, psychosocial rehabilitation planning, and general support duties for clients living in their own housing.

Working within a psychosocial rehabilitation/harm reduction framework, the Community Mental Health Worker 2 provides basic case management, establishes rehabilitation objectives, and engages clients in various community settings.

Scheduling Information:

Shift types for this position are days, with shift times from 08:00 to 18:00 hours. This is a casual opportunity with no guaranteed hours and varying work requirements.

Lansdowne Centre is one of Interior Health's Mental Health Centres, providing various services including adult community support, adult short-term assessment and treatment, and crisis intervention.
