We have an exciting opportunity for an Insurance Advisor, Specialty Atlantic to join our Solutions Drive Branch in Halifax, NS, working on a permanent full-time basis. As part of our employee promise, you can expect:

This role entails:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver exceptional client service, advise on insurance matters, conduct needs assessments, recommend solutions, answer inquiries, conduct care calls, and process renewals
  2. Sell new policies/write new business to existing or new clients, retain existing book of business
  3. Contact Underwriters and Adjusters to discuss guidelines and policy
  4. Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications for clients, issue insurance certificates, process changes, and review renewals
  5. Stay up-to-date on underwriting rules and workflow processes
  6. Participate in training initiatives and community marketing efforts

The ideal candidate will possess:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School and/or Post-Secondary Education
  • Minimum 2 years sales experience (previous insurance sales experience preferred but not required)
  • Level 1 General license or willingness to obtain
  • Exposure to Epic is an asset
  • Strong customer focus, demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully, strong analytical and organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to pass a criminal background check and credit check

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
