Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our Sterile Supply Processing team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient processing of medical devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clerical support by performing tasks such as timekeeping, recording workload statistics, and maintaining inventory records.
  • Operate departmental equipment such as automated washers, cart washers, pasteurizers, and sterilizers.
  • Participate in routine maintenance of Department's equipment by cleaning, checking, and testing sterilizers, mechanical washers, and other MDR equipment.
  • Assist with the preparation of supplies and instruments for surgical cases.
  • Participate in the Department's Quality Assurance Program.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 and successful completion of a recognized Sterile Supply Processing program.
  • One year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge of surgical and medical terminology.
  • Mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to organize work, communicate effectively, and operate related equipment.
