Role Overview

This position delivers prescribed medications accurately as per policy and procedure. In keeping with Carewest's Frame of Reference, Philosophy of Care and Carewest policies this position maintains professional and ethical standards at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Reports changes in client status to the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Delivers prescribed medications accurately as per policy and procedure
  • Maintains professional and ethical standards at all times
Requirements
  • Graduation from Grade 12 is required, plus graduation from an Alberta Government recognized Health Care Aide program
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English is required
  • Must be physically capable of managing the frequent lifting, transferring and repositioning of clients
  • Active and current registration in the Alberta HCA Directory required
