About the Role

This is a casual position that offers flexibility and autonomy. As an infusion nurse, you will be responsible for delivering and monitoring specialized pharmacological treatments in the home and clinic settings. Your primary focus will be on ensuring patient safety and satisfaction through effective communication with our Specialty Nursing Supervisor and/or Specialty Pharma Nurse Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review individualized nursing care plans for patients.
  • Conduct patient health assessments and medication administration teaching.
  • Obtain IV access through peripheral IV initiation or central line access (PICC, IVAD, etc.).
  • Prepare and administer specialized intravenous or injectable pharmacological treatments.
  • Provide patient-centered care according to established care plans or medical directives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and reporting.
  • Complete other duties as requested by management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or equivalent.
  • Current registration and good standing with provincial nursing regulatory body.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required for clinic role.
  • Chemotherapy - Biotherapy course completion is an asset.
Work Environment

Estimated Salary Range

$80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
