Job Title: Healthcare Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Specialist to join our team at Terwillegar Park Medical Clinic. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working closely with our medical team.

Job Description:

  • Collecting Medical Information: You will collect medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment.
  • Examining Patients: You will examine patients' health conditions to identify diseases and injuries, using your expertise to determine the best course of action.
  • Ordering Diagnostic Procedures: You will order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most appropriate medical treatment for each patient.
  • Collaborating with Medical Practitioners: You will consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health, ensuring comprehensive care.
  • Prescribing Medications: You will prescribe and administer medications and treatments as needed, taking into account each patient's unique situation.
  • Preventing and Treating Diseases: You will inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases, promoting overall health and well-being.
  • Providing Health Advice: You will advise patients on healthcare matters, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health.
  • Emergency Care: You will provide emergency care as needed, responding quickly and effectively in critical situations.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • Attention to Detail: You must have excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Hand-Eye Coordination: You will need good hand-eye coordination to perform various medical procedures safely and efficiently.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods, as well as manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
  • Colour Vision: You must be able to distinguish between colours to accurately diagnose conditions and select appropriate treatments.
  • Large Workload: You will work under pressure to manage a large workload, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
