Job Title: Director of Food and Beverage

Location: Kananaskis Village, Alberta, Canada

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Food and Beverage to lead our culinary team at the Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for overseeing the food and beverage operations, including six restaurants and catering services. With a projected revenue of $18M in 2024, you will have the opportunity to drive growth, improve guest experiences, and develop a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction and loyalty
  • Lead a team of culinary professionals to deliver exceptional food and beverage experiences
  • Manage food costs, labor, and inventory to achieve budgeted expectations
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create a resort-wide F&B program that supports positioning by outlet and expected cost of sales
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, making adjustments to optimize revenues and margins
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in hospitality or a related field
  • 3+ years of senior management experience in hospitality, preferably in a high-volume premium restaurant or outlet
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high levels of interaction with guests, employees, and other stakeholders
