Job Title: Business Unit Director - Buildings Engineering

About the Role:

Arcadis is seeking a Business Unit Director to lead our Buildings Engineering team in Canada. As a key member of our Places Business Area, you will be responsible for driving profitable growth and delivering exceptional service quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the business plan for the unit, ensuring alignment with Arcadis' global strategy and financial targets.
  • Lead a diverse team of senior specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure staff are equipped to deliver program objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and delivering service excellence to drive organic revenue growth.
  • Identify and target new business opportunities, leveraging your commercial skills and industry knowledge to drive entrepreneurial behavior.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the business unit's clients and market trends, identifying key opportunities and emerging risks.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience leading and growing a significant business function within a professional services firm.
  • Proven leadership capability, with a track record of inspiring multi-disciplinary teams and driving business growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong commercial skills, with a sound knowledge of the industry and demonstrated entrepreneurial behavior.
