Join Arcadis as a Business Unit Director for the Places Business Area in Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and growing a significant business function within our professional services firm. Your primary focus will be on implementing the Places strategy, leading a diverse team, and developing and implementing the business plan. You will also be responsible for delivering service excellence to foster growth in organic revenue in the business unit, building strong relationships with clients, and promoting career development. The ideal candidate will have a high level of intellectual, professional, and interpersonal agility and flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization. You will also have a sound knowledge of the industry and demonstrated entrepreneurial behavior. If you are a licensed Professional Engineer or Architect in Canada with at least 10+ years of experience leading and growing a significant business function, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. **Key Responsibilities:**

* Implement the Places strategy to ensure service quality delivery, service excellence, and profitable growth within the business unit.
* Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team to ensure staff are developed, driven, and have the necessary skills to deliver the program objectives.
* Develop and implement the business plan to ensure the team understands the business plan and the role they play in its achievement.
* Deliver service excellence to foster growth in organic revenue in the business unit.
* Build strong relationships with clients to understand their business needs and ensure client satisfaction.
* Promote career development by directing identified individuals to appropriate development programs.
* Maintain the integrity of the unit composition and pyramid management structure to enable resource optimization.
* Ensure compliance with governance processes in the business unit to achieve service excellence and client satisfaction.
* Maintain an in-depth and up-to-date understanding of the business unit's clients and the market to identify key trends and emerging opportunities.

**Requirements:**

* Licensed Professional Engineer or Architect in Canada.
* At least 10+ years of experience leading and growing a significant business function within a professional services firm.
* High level of intellectual, professional, and interpersonal agility and flexibility.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization.
* Sound knowledge of the industry and demonstrated entrepreneurial behavior.
