Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Policy Analyst to join our team in Nova Scotia. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative primary care payment models and contribute to the evolution of healthcare services in the province.

About the Role
  • This position will involve developing and implementing policies, programs, and initiatives related to Longitudinal Family Medicine (LFM) payment models.
  • You will work closely with stakeholders, including physicians, to understand their needs and provide analysis and recommendations to support program development.
  • As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing data, and preparing reports to inform strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  2. Conduct research and analyze data to inform policy development and program implementation.
  3. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior leaders and stakeholders.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and effective implementation of policies and programs.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in primary care payment models.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social science or public administration.
  • Several years of experience in policy development, reporting, and program monitoring/evaluation.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex data to various audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
