About This Opportunity

The Government of Nova Scotia is looking for a talented Junior Policy Analyst to join their team. As a Policy Analyst Intern, you will gain valuable experience in the public sector, working on key initiatives that create healthy communities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis on current issues and initiatives
  • Prepare presentations and briefing materials for steering committees and executives
  • Support the development of submissions to cabinet, including Memoranda to Executive Council and Requests for Legislation
  • Collaborate with the project team and provide support on deliverables as required

Requirements

  • Graduation from a post-secondary institute within the past three years
  • Background in public administration, research, or a related field
  • Experience drafting and completing communications
  • Experience conducting research and analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
