Simulation Skills Participant

We are seeking a Simulation Skills Participant to join our team at the Volunteer Coordinators' Association of Sarnia-Lambton. As a Simulation Skills Participant, you will work closely with students and faculty to provide hands-on learning in controlled, simulated environments.

Job Description:

The Simulation Skills Participant will be responsible for providing simulated experiences for students to practice their communication, interview, diagnostic, and clinical skills. You will work with students to examine the health, social, and psychological aspects of your experience with health, either your own or as a caregiver. Participants control the depth of information they provide, and students must keep all video and print information in the strictest confidence.

This role is ideal for individuals who are comfortable sharing their own health history and have a flexible schedule. You will be working with high school students, contributing towards their mandatory community service hours required for graduation. The time commitment for this role is approximately 60 hours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inform the program of changes to contact information such as name, telephone, and address.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to work patiently and professionally with students, be reliable and punctual, and have a flexible schedule. You should also be available to work during weekdays.

Estimated Salary:

$25-$30 per hour (based on a 60-hour commitment)
