Job Title: Youth Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Worker to join our team at Collingwood Neighbourhood House. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality youth programs and services that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement youth programs that meet the needs of our community, including education, recreation, and social activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with young people, their families, and community stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement strategies that promote youth engagement and participation.
  • Provide support and guidance to young people, including crisis intervention and referrals to external services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote the safety and well-being of young people.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a field such as youth work, social work, or community development.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with young people in a community-based setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people and community stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • First Aid Certificate and ability to obtain a Working with Children Check.
