Job Summary
IPG Photonics Canada Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Technical Content Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and engaging product documentation, user manuals, and technical guides.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive knowledge management strategy to ensure seamless communication between internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product design, software, and applications engineers, to create high-quality product documentation.
- Write and edit technical content, including user manuals, service manuals, application notes, and service bulletins, to ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Design and develop marketing and communication materials to promote the value proposition of our products and services.
- Work closely with Technical Product Ownership, Regulatory Compliance, and Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Support customer success strategies by organizing and centralizing key technical support knowledge.
- Prepare and publish technical and financial reports required for SR&ED and other government programs.
Requirements
About You
- You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to advanced technical concepts.
- You have a strong background in technical writing, documentation, and knowledge management, with experience in creating online help materials, product information, and training manuals.
- You are a team player with a collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
- You are a self-starter with a strong work ethic, able to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative to drive projects forward.
- You have a post-secondary technical education in engineering, physics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with a background in engineering, physics, or industrial automation, and experience in copywriting, communications, or creative writing, are highly preferred. Additionally, experience in technical knowledge management systems and strong communication skills are highly valued.
