Job Summary

The Payroll Coordinator will provide support to the payroll team to facilitate the processing of bi-weekly payrolls for over 5,500 employees in a unionized environment. This role involves accurate data entry related to new hires, transfers, and employee changes, as well as timely responses to payroll queries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support processing of bi-weekly payrolls for employees in a unionized environment
  • Process year-end procedures
  • Reconcile and prepare HOOPP year-end and T4/T2200 documents
  • Respond to payroll inquiries via phone and email
  • Manage the payroll inbox
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in business administration, accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with payroll year-end processes (T4) and annual pension reconciliations (HOOPP experience preferred)
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certification required or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 years of payroll experience
  • Knowledge of government legislation pertaining to payroll
What We Offer

Mackenzie Health offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package.
