Youth Support Specialist

Job Overview:
McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Youth Worker to join our team in Lethbridge. As a Youth Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing support services to youth with significant disabilities.
About the Role:
This part-time position involves working Thursday through Sunday, 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Your key responsibilities will include establishing helping relationships with youth and their support networks, supporting the team environment, creating positive interactions to enhance adaptive functioning, social skills, recreational opportunities, self-regulation skills, life-skills, and connection to the community for youth with significant disabilities.
Key Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Education, Disability Studies, Child and Youth Care Diploma or a Degree in human services
- Six months' experience in family and youth work; two years' experience preferred
- Strong counselling, program planning, organizational and communication skills
- Current Standard First Aid CPR Level C Certificate or CSA Standard Z1210-17 Intermediate First Aid Certificate
- Clear Child Intervention Record Check, dated within the past six months
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License, Driver's Abstract, and use of reliable vehicle with $2M Third Party Liability insurance
