**Job Description**

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Supportive Educational Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and staff to provide targeted support and services to ensure student success.

The Supportive Educational Specialist will be responsible for adapting academic tasks, implementing strategies to support socially appropriate behaviors, attending to physical and medical needs, and monitoring progress. They will work collaboratively with the school community to share information, reflect on effectiveness of strategies, and suggest modifications to existing or novel strategies.

As a Supportive Educational Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with children/students with identified needs, including behavioral challenges and/or complex physical disabilities, developmental delays, and severe medical needs.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of ASD, ODD, FASD, ADHD, and other behavioral disabilities
  • Training and/or experience working with students with severe behavior difficulties
  • An ability to quickly develop trust and rapport with students and staff
  • Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic learning environment

**Salary:** The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,313 - $49,989 based on a 21.75 hour workweek.
