Job Title: Market Planner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Market Planner to join our team at Honda Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing data-driven insights and analysis to support sales and market share objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis: Develop a deep understanding of the automotive sales and competitor landscape, analyzing multiple sources of data and interpreting findings to inform sales strategies.
  • Sales Incentive Programs: Prepare recommendations for sales incentive programs to achieve sales and market share objectives, working closely with sales and production planning teams.
  • Model Gap Analysis: Conduct monthly model gap analysis to identify opportunities and develop countermeasure proposals to drive sales growth.
  • Market Research: Prepare for monthly program meetings by analyzing sales and inventory sell-down pace, using market demand information, historical trends, and forecasting tactics to inform sales strategies.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with sales and production planning teams to ensure effective product ordering and allocation to dealer networks.
  • Reporting: Manage and maintain monthly allocated competitor payment and in-market offers reports, providing insights to inform sales strategies.
  • Business Development: Develop new model sales plans for assigned models, working closely with key stakeholders to develop price increase sales risk analysis and product launch guides.
  • Campaign Management: Propose, plan, and activate CRM sales offer campaigns, with follow-up gap analysis to document learnings and apply countermeasures.
  • Departmental Reporting: Manage and maintain allocated departmental sales reports, providing insights to inform sales strategies.
  • Administrative Tasks: Process dealer exception requests and dealer payments via manual AJs as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Post-secondary degree required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of automotive experience preferred.
  • Skills: Demonstrated planning and organizational skills, flexible and adaptable to working in a fast-paced team environment with multiple priorities, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to build collaborative working relationships, strong results-orientation, advanced level Excel knowledge, and advanced PC skills.
