Role Summary
The Automotive Sales Advisor plays a crucial role in facilitating the sale and lease/finance of both New and Pre-Owned vehicles to a diverse clientele. Success in this position is measured by the ability to consistently meet sales targets and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to promote vehicle sales.Manage incoming sales inquiries through various channels, including phone, internet, and in-person.Evaluate and qualify potential customers.Coordinate trade-in appraisals with the Pre-Owned Sales Manager.Act as a liaison between customers and sales management during negotiations.Facilitate the transition of customers to the finance office for closing sales.Oversee the delivery process for both New and Pre-Owned vehicles.Continuously seek out new customer opportunities.Follow up with previous customers to ensure satisfaction with their purchases.Stay informed about product updates and changes.Participate in regular sales meetings to review performance metrics.Familiarize yourself with all manufacturers' sales, lease, and finance options.Conduct annual contact calls to existing clients regarding lease maturity.Keep abreast of competitive offerings in the market.Collaborate with management to set annual sales goals based on historical performance.Engage in marketing and promotional activities as directed by sales management.Assist in showroom presentation and organization as needed.Participate in ongoing training and development programs.Effectively close sales by addressing customer objections and negotiating terms.Ensure compliance with all relevant laws governing retail automotive sales.Guide customers through the delivery process, introducing them to various departments.Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.Strong reading and comprehension skills.Valid driver's license.Clear driving record.Registered with OMVIC.Demonstrated business acumen.Professional demeanor.Ability to meet sales quotas as established by the dealership.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Outstanding customer service abilities.Personal Attributes
