Business Development Director - Pharmaceuticals
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly experienced Business Development Director to lead our Pharmaceuticals Industry Vertical strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and growing National Key Accounts, driving collaboration between National Sales and Product functions, and ensuring global account growth plans are executed.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute the Pharmaceuticals Industry Vertical strategy to drive growth and collaboration between National Sales and Product functions.
- Lead the development and growth of National Key Accounts, focusing on sizeable potential.
- Ensure all global sales policies, processes, and guidelines relating to the Industry Vertical are adhered to.
- Review and analyze up-trading, down-trading, loss-making, and newly gained accounts monthly, taking corrective action as needed.
- Ensure timely and effective communication with all relevant stakeholders, including National Key Accounts.
- Drive growth of the Industry Vertical by ensuring appropriate collaboration in the Country within Sales and across Product functions.
- Grow accounts within all customer segments in related Industry Vertical segments, developing long-term partnerships and increasing share of wallet.
- Identify new markets and develop Industry Vertical-specific solutions and services in close cooperation with Corporate, Regional, and local functions as well as Product.
- Personally engage key customers within the Industry Vertical to drive growth and assume ownership for a limited portfolio of accounts.
- Align and agree on strategic bid prioritization with sales and product.
- Ensure RFI & RFQ post-bid analysis is created and shared, and corrective actions are aligned and agreed with Sales and Product functions for National Key Accounts under his/her responsibility.
- Ensure Industry Vertical and account growth plans are understood and supported.
- Share relevant market intelligence and best practices within the organization.
- Follows and acts on market trends and industry developments.
- Degree in Business administration, economics, marketing, international transportation, or supply chain logistics.
- CIFFA certificate, an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills, building professional relationships internally and externally.
- Strategic and planning skills (ability to develop strategy and plan).
- Proficient on both English and French language.
- Microsoft Office suite.
