Opportunity

MacEwan University seeks a dedicated academic to join its Faculty of Nursing. As a Clinical Instructor in Psychiatric Nursing, you will contribute to the development of future nursing leaders by teaching and mentoring students in Psychiatric Nursing courses.

The Department of Human Health and Science delivers courses that illuminate the importance of science and health within the Discipline of Nursing. Faculty members in the Department of Human Health and Science are experts in their discipline-specific fields and roles, incorporating core foundational knowledge about the scope of practice and standards of nursing.

This position requires licensure with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA) and involves teaching Psychiatric Nursing courses in a variety of settings, including classroom, lab, and clinical settings. Travel may be required, and candidates must meet the requisite skills and abilities of the nursing profession.

The ideal candidate will hold a baccalaureate degree in Psychiatric Nursing, as well as a graduate degree in Psychiatric Nursing or a related field. Doctoral preparation is preferred. Candidates will have notable Psychiatric Nursing education, licensure, and experience, with expertise in a specific area of mental health and a prior record of undergraduate teaching in nursing.
