Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Bulkley Lodge, a long-term care home located in central Smithers.
Job SummaryAs a Registered Nurse, you will provide professional, safe, and effective nursing care to residents, ensuring their physical, psychological, and emotional well-being. You will work under the direction of the Coordinator of Resident Care and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care and satisfaction
- Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN registrant
- Valid CPR certification
- Current knowledge in the field of geriatric nursing
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, residents, physicians, and the public
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of professional groups
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
