Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Private Investment Analyst to join our team at CI Financial Company. As a key member of our investment team, you will be responsible for conducting rigorous due diligence on existing portfolio private investments, providing updated information to advisors and clients, and ensuring ongoing annual due diligence requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on existing portfolio private investments, including in-person and remote meetings with fund managers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide timely and accurate updates to advisors and clients on the status of existing investments, including performance, new allocations, realizations, changes in the opportunity set, and updates to the team/fund/organization.
  • Ensure ongoing annual due diligence requirements are met, including reviewing financial statements, DDQ questionnaires, personnel changes, updates to policies/procedures/service providers, changes to documents or any material events that occurred, new business activities, correspondence with any regulatory agencies, violations of compliance policy, or cybersecurity events.
  • Document conclusions and make coherent, well-reasoned summaries and recommendations.
  • Serve as a product expert for these legacy private investments as well as other related alternative product offerings.
  • Track and model alternative investment capital activity (capital calls & distributions) for investments.
  • Work with wealth advisors to support client service and business development efforts related to alternative investments.
  • Produce ongoing and ad hoc reporting related to the status of investments and investment opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field. CFA/CAIA/FRM designations a plus.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a private investment-related role as either an investment analyst/consultant or product specialist. Experience in operational due diligence would be beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficient in analytical tools and applications.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being able to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to delivering high-quality work and exceeding expectations.
  • 10-20% travel.
