Position Overview:
We invite you to explore a rewarding opportunity within our Global Credit team. As a member of this dynamic group, you will play a crucial role in supporting investment due diligence and monitoring activities within our Alternative Investments and Private Credit portfolio.
Your Role:
In this position, you will report directly to the Head of Alternative Investments, focusing on:
- Evaluating various private credit investment opportunities both in North America and globally, aiming to deliver robust investment recommendations.
- Creating detailed credit analyses and financial models to underpin actionable investment assessments.
- Conducting thorough due diligence and preparing comprehensive investment committee documentation across a diverse range of credit opportunities.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on financial reporting and portfolio construction insights.
- Researching and analyzing external managers with a focus on credit strategies.
- Assisting in the operational aspects of investment activities.
- Monitoring portfolio performance using advanced database software such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or Mathematics from a reputable university, showcasing strong academic performance.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in direct credit investing, investment banking, or private equity.
- Proficiency in strategies related to direct lending, private credit, leveraged loans, and fund investments.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel, particularly in credit-related financial modeling and analytical tasks.
- Experience managing external funds is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, complemented by strong interpersonal abilities.
- Proven track record of collaboration in cross-departmental projects and solutions involving multiple stakeholders.
- A self-motivated individual who thrives both independently and as part of a team, promoting a collegial and innovative work environment.
- Ability to conduct in-depth research, extract insights, and communicate complex concepts clearly within defined timelines.
