About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Operations Analyst to join our team at the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP). As an Investment Operations Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the investment operations process for HOOPP's private investments and infrastructure portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Investment Accounting: Ensure that the operations of the private investments and infrastructure portfolios are properly and accurately reflected in the private equity sub-ledger system.
- Financial Reporting: Assist the Senior Analysts with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting and preparation of working papers for the private investments and infrastructure portfolios.
- Compliance Monitoring: Assist the Senior Analysts with compliance analysis and review investment activity on a monthly basis to ensure private investments and infrastructure portfolios are compliant with HOOPP's Investment Policies & Guidelines.
- Audit: Assist the Senior Analysts with the external audit process and support the Internal Audit and Internal Controls Financial Reporting processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of similar operational experience in investment or fund accounting for private investments.
- Accounting designation (CGA/CPA) or working towards an accounting designation is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness is extremely important along with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to respond to queries on numerous topics effectively and promptly.
- Prioritize and produce workload in a timely fashion to meet deadlines.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of investment data and daily booking activities.
- Experience with Investran, sub-ledger system, is an asset.
- Strong MS Office skills.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
