Hotel Managing Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Managing Supervisor to join our team at Howard Johnson Hotel. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and assign work to staff, reviewing their performance and providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Hire and train new staff members, ensuring they understand job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Maintain the operation of computer systems, equipment, and machinery, arranging for repairs as necessary to ensure business continuity and customer service delivery.
  • Develop and implement programs to support newcomers and refugees, including mentorship and diversity training.
  • Provide cultural competency training and awareness to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Permanent position, 30-35 hours per week.
