At First National, we are seeking a skilled Mortgage Retention Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for retaining existing clients through refinancing and porting their mortgages.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a highly competitive compensation package, including a base salary, bonus, benefits, and career advancement opportunities. The estimated annual salary for this position is in the range of $60,000 to $80,000 depending on experience.

About the Role

In this role, you will handle all incoming calls from the department queue regarding ports, refinancing, and clients requiring a port and increase. You will also be responsible for retention of accounts that are discharging due to a switch or sale of property. Additionally, you will solicit to retain First National customers (inbound and outbound) and prepare and submit applications to underwriting for approval of refinance for debt consolidation, ports, and title changes.

You will also have the opportunity to sell Mortgage Life Insurance and Home Warranty programs and utilize technology to aid the mortgage process. Accountability for retention percentages and adherence to policies/procedures to ensure AML requirements are met, when applicable, are also key responsibilities of this role.

Requirements
  • Previous inbound/outbound sales experience
  • Knowledge of mortgage underwriting policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of mortgage and other debt products to ensure quality First National customer service
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Effective communication and interaction with internal business partners
