About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Commercial Account Executive to join our team at HUB International Canada West ULC. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting our full suite of insurance products and services to businesses and individuals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage customer expectations and provide exceptional service
  • Communicate with company personnel to understand client needs and resolve issues
  • Negotiate with underwriters to secure competitive rates and coverage
  • Follow up on requested changes, renewals, and claims with insurance companies
  • Review and analyze claims, discussing with clients and providing recommendations
  • Discuss and explain coverage options to clients
  • Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely payments
  • Develop and present new business and renewal sales pitches
  • Closing deals, upselling, and cross-selling insurance products
  • Prospect for new business opportunities, targeting $20,000 to $100,000 premium
  • Prepare marketing submissions, proposals, and summaries of insurance
  • Verify the accuracy of policies, endorsements, audits, and other documents received from insurance companies
  • Issue certificates of insurance and motor vehicle liability slips
  • Review payments and ensure timely processing
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as required

Requirements

  • Level 2 General Insurance License
  • Driven to achieve sales results and meet targets
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships and provide exceptional service
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial insurance products and services
  • Strong commitment to personal growth and development
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
