At the ALS Society of Canada, we are seeking a highly motivated and organized Event Coordinator to join our team. As an integral part of our Events Team, you will play a key role in supporting the planning and execution of various fundraising events.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in event planning and possess excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, and an aptitude for database systems are also essential. A keen interest in the organization's mission to support people living with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a must.

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Events Team in meeting revenue targets for fundraising events
  • Retailing and managing relationships with event organizers, participants, volunteers, sponsors, donors, and vendors
  • Evaluating program operations and improving delivery through data analysis
  • Oversceeing budgets and providing financial reports

You will work closely with the Events Team to plan and execute successful events that meet or exceed revenue targets. This includes coordinating logistics, managing expenses, and ensuring timely completion of tasks. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with stakeholders, from event organizers to donors.

A competitive salary of $62,000 per year reflects the importance of this role in achieving our mission to support people affected by ALS.
