Full Time Cook

The Salvation Army London Village is seeking a skilled and dedicated Full Time Cook to join our team. As a key member of our Child Care Centre, you will play a vital role in providing nutritious meals and snacks to our children.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and serve meals and snacks in accordance with food service and safety regulations.
- Plan and prepare menus, taking into account dietary needs and preferences.
- Ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the Program Director to meet program requirements and schedule.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Completed Secondary School, plus specialized courses of up to six (6) months.
- Cook's papers (1-year course).
- Current First Aid & CPR Certification, Level C.
- Current Safe Food Handling Certification.
- Required to have a health assessment and immunization.
- This is a permanent full-time position based 35 hours per week.
- Flexibility in scheduling is required to meet program requirements.
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently: repetitive tasks, heavy lifting, twisting, bending, crouching, reaching, pushing and pulling.
